What is the difference between upcycling and recycling?

Upcycling is when you reuse (discarded objects or materials) to create a product with a higher quality or value than the original. Recycling is when you turn (waste) into reusable material. Although it sounds similar, there are differences.

From old to new

In production, we process old textiles and use them new. Worn shirts are not waste for MAHOL, on the contrary, we shred the second – hand items and extract the yarn from them, which is hand washed and reused for production.

Of course, we only use vegan materials so as not to pollute the environment. You want to support our upcycling project and recycle your old clothes? Send us a message and we will be happy to assess your request. MAHOL is happy about every textile donation.

Secondhand is not a trend

By reusing textiles, MAHOL is systematically fighting mass consumption. We show that you should wear fashion responsibly and we set a sign of love for the environment.
